Who we are.

A firefighter-owned tree company built on hard work, honest communication, difficult removals, and the kind of cleanup that makes customers say, “I can’t even tell you were here.”

Who We Are

Built from real experience and word of mouth.

Happy Valley Tree Care and Removal started with a conversation at the fire hall in 2022. Logan and I (Drew) were looking to start a business that utilized our unique skill sets, doing something that we would enjoy. I had spent years rock climbing and working on raw land off Happy Valley Road in Flintstone, Georgia—cutting trees, milling lumber, building cabins, and building treehouses. Logan is an athlete and fitness instructor who likes hard work. Tree work made sense.

Our first jobs came from fellow firefighters, then their neighbors who saw the results of our work. Before long, word-of-mouth referrals kept us booked out for months without advertising. Our highest priority was to live up to the strong reputation that had started to follow us.

When you call Happy Valley, you talk to us—the owners. We answer the calls, come out to look at the job and provide the estimate, and do the work ourselves. We take on difficult removals: large limbs hanging mere feet over your roof, and tall trees deep in the woods where no crane, lift, or machine can get access. We climb most trees and on tough access jobs that many tree companies would turn down, we carry material out by hand, stick by stick.

Once a job is scheduled, we give you a specific date and time, send a reminder as the job approaches, and show up exactly when promised. Re-schedules are rare, but no matter what, we will stay in communication with you through the entire process. We do not accept payment until the job is complete and you are satisfied. And if the finished product isn’t exactly what you envisioned, we will make it right.

A job is not finished until the area is cleaned up. That means picking up every stick, protecting lawns from machine tracks with ground protection mats when needed, and often clearing existing debris from a roof or gutters before we leave. The best compliment we get is, “I can’t even tell you were here.”

Our goal is to leave you with a safer property, a clean yard, and the peace of mind to sleep better—or let your kids play outside again—without worrying about what is hanging overhead.

The people who answer the phone are the ones doing the work.

That is how we built this company, and it is still how we run it today.
